Hairstyle from hell (but it came out pretty!)

So after going out and buying the stuff I finally did the zulu knots. And I have to say that they turned out very pretty. I have pictures for those who want to see! And yes, that is pizza crust I'm holding. XD

 

 

But I also have to say, never again! It didn't take too long to do them, only about two and half hours, but they hurt to high hell. I did them last night and turned around having to try and sleep on them. It didn't work out too well and I only got about four hours of sleep. What we did was twist them and tucked each twist under the previous one so it tighter and tighter. The hairstyle ended up giving me a headache and making me physically sick.

But I got my school ID made with that hairstyle and they can't take that away from me. But I ended up coming home after that, showering to wash that junk out of my hair, taking a handfull of asprin and crashing on my bed for about three hours.

So I feel better and I can hopefully get some writing done tonight.

It looks really good. I like the idea of tucking each twist under the previous one! I tried it a while back and although my hair is long it's very thin and we got 4 tiny straggly knots!

It took the most time just trying to figure out how to do it. Finally we just seperated each section into two parts and twisted one around the other and secured it with rubber bands (which is how there is hair coming out of it). It was actually easier than you would think. My hair is crazy thick though.

Oh crikey! I never thought about doing it in two parts. That's good thinking! although if I'd split it in two parts I'd have only got two knots LOL!

I did my friends hair on the same night. Her hair is thicker and shorter than mine and she ended up with about the same number of knots as you.

We tried to do it the way it's supposed to be done but none of us could figure out how to make it work. It's kept falling apart or the bobby pins would be sticking completely out.
