Ohh... I like this a lot. Just all around love. From River's entirely characteristic dreamy-but-clever mien, her description of Casey as prehistoric, and the sense of unforced community on the ship. It's very Firefly ♥ And Casey fits right in, with a beautiful backstory that we see glimpses of in just the right way: naturally, as it comes up in conversation :)
